What's in a name?

= AI x AI
= AI-squared
The name derives from the fact that we also can apply AI to optimize the topology of neural networks (number of layers; number of nodes in each layer; number of connections, etc). In this sense, AI is applied to AI, thus AI is squared. The German word for squared is "quadriert" or as noun "Quadrat", thus, the domain name is AIquadrat.com
Wolfgang Pree is CEO, founder and owner of AI2. In addition he is a Full Professor of Computer Science at the University of Salzburg, Austria. This position allows him to also act as talent scout for AI2.

Fabio Beckenkamp did his PhD thesis 1997–2002 about object-oriented artificial neural networks and their distribution on a computing cluster, supervised by Wolfgang Pree as Full Professor at the University of Constance, Germany. Fabio lives now in Porto Alegre Brazil and is recruiting a local team for AI2 from the University in Porto Alegre. This allows AI2 to substantially grow and embark on further promising AI applications.
